It will be the final update for Chrome supporting the two older Microsoft operating systems– Windows 7 and Windows 8.1. According to the support page, Chrome will continue working on Windows 7 and Windows 8.1. after the Chrome 110 update, but will not get any future updates, including security fixes and more.

So, in case you are still working on Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 on your desktop or laptop, it is advisable that you should update your system soon. Notably, Google is dropping the support of Chrome for the older Microsoft OS to match Microsoft’s Windows lifecycle policy. The policy lists the Extended Security Update (ESU) program for Windows 7 and the Windows 8.1 end of support on January 10, 2023.
