The bill which must transform the health pass into a vaccination pass from January 15, 2022 is presented this Monday, December 27, 2021, during an extraordinary Council of Ministers.
The text also proposes to set up in certain cases “an accumulation of supporting documents”which means to access certain places at risk, in addition to the vaccination certificate, it would be necessary to present a negative test.
A rule called 2G+
This measure is based on a very specific point: even vaccinated, you can catch Covid-19. This reality has been heightened with the Omicron variant, which is highly contagious. To anticipate, it would therefore be necessary to redouble precautions and to access certain places at risk, it would therefore be necessary to present a negative test, in addition to being vaccinated.
That is the idea, but in the draft bill, the terms are quite vague. The text simply indicates that a “accumulation of supporting documents” may be required when “the interest of public health and the state of the health situation” will impose it. This rule already applies in Germany, Switzerland or Austria, under the name of 2G+.
Which places concerned?
But in many cases, 2G+ only concerns those who have only two doses of vaccines. Those who have received their booster dose are exempt. This point will therefore have to be clarified with us, as will the places concerned.
But judging by what is being done with our neighbours, we have to count on the bars, restaurants, theatres, cinemas, discotheques or even sporting events and long-distance transport.
